Geehi/Khancoban Area - 5 July 2009
Poor snow quality, soreness and a strained groin kept us away from skiing today. Instead we took in a few of the sights on the western side of the range. What was suppossed to be a quick detour to check out the view ended up turning into a full day of driving. Here are some of the sights we took in.

The Sentinel and Curruthers Peak from Olsens Lookout.

Looking up Lady Northcote Canyon toward Lake Albina.

Another view of the Sentinel and Curruthers Peak from the Geehi Dam Road.

The whole view from the Geehi Dam Road.

Looking toward The Rolling Grounds from Geehi Dam Road.

Looking up at Watsons Crags from Geehi Dam Road.

One of the huts near the Geehi Airstrip.

Puting the old girl through her paces before she goes to the glue factory.

Whoops. Better go back for the Mrs.

Kangaroos enjoying the delights of the Geehi Flats. Grass and water everywhere.

Views toward the Great Divide west of khancoban.

And back toward the Main Range.

Black Boys enjoying the last of the sun.

A bit of colour on the Main Range just before sunset was ruined by cloud on the horizon.
